Taylorton Echo Dell Soup Bowls, Set of 3, Taylor Smith, MCM Lens, Floral & Gold

Description

For sale is a set of three (3) gently used lens shape soup bowls by Taylor Smith & Taylor in the Taylorton Echo Dell pattern. The lens shape of these bowls are the feature that make them distinctive; combined with the color palette, they are great examples of mid-century design. The off-white bowls feature pink, white and turquoise flowers and brown foliage and some flowers are further decorated with gold in the centers. Each measures approximately 7" by 6 1/2", sits on a round 2 1/2" base and stands 1 1/2" at low and 2" at high points of rim.
The bowls have been gently used and show light wear, when the light hits it right, on the interior and bottom including shelf wear and utensil marks. The bowls present beautifully with bright colors; the white Queen Anne's Lace was probably always difficult to see with small flowers and little contrast to the background. There are divots and other production marks on the exteriors. Each is marked on the bottom in gold ink.
